About us

We find the hauler. They do the heavy lifting.

Denver Junk Haul is a free referral service. Tell us what needs to go, and we connect you with an independent local junk removal company that quotes the job and does the work.

How this works

You describe the job on the quote form. We give you a typical Denver price range straight away, then pass your request to an independent hauler who serves your part of the metro. The hauler contacts you, confirms the price and books a time. From there you deal with them directly: they carry out the job, you pay them, and they are responsible for the work.

What we are, and what we aren't

We're a referral service, not a junk removal company. We don't own trucks, employ crews or carry out any work, and we don't hold a contractor licence or insurance ourselves. The hauler you're connected with may pay us a fee for the introduction. Using this site costs you nothing, and you're under no obligation to book.

If we can't find a hauler who can do your job, or meet your deadline, we'll tell you plainly instead of leaving you waiting.

How junk removal is priced

By volume, meaning how much of the truck your load fills, and quoted before anything moves. Not by the hour, because you shouldn't pay for a slow crew. Not by the item, because counting boxes helps nobody.

The exception is heavy inert material: concrete, dirt, brick, tile, roofing. Those normally go by weight, because that's how Front Range transfer stations charge.

The ranges on this site are typical Denver prices to help you plan. They aren't a quote. The hauler confirms the actual price with you. If the job turns out bigger than described, ask for the new number before loading, not after. You can still say no at that point.

Where the stuff goes

Less of it needs to go to landfill than you'd think. Usable furniture, appliances, kitchenware and clothing can go to donation. Metal, electronics and mattresses have recycling routes in Colorado. What's genuinely finished goes to the transfer station. If that matters to you, say so in your request and ask the hauler what will happen to your load.

What can't go in the truck

Household hazardous waste: paint, solvents, pesticides, pool chemicals, automotive fluids, propane. Asbestos-containing material, which needs licensed abatement. Medical waste. Ammunition. These aren't judgement calls. They're regulated streams, and putting them in a truck with everything else is how people get hurt and companies get fined.

A good hauler sets these aside and tells you where they go. Full list on the what can go page.

Insurance and licensing: ask for proof

Anyone working in your home should be insured and able to show it before the day. Ask the hauler for their certificate of insurance. If your building, HOA or property manager needs to be named on it, say so when you book. Commercial and multi-family jobs usually need this.
