Denver metro · Free local hauler referral

The stuff goes. You don't lift anything.

Furniture, appliances, hot tubs, whole garages, estate cleanouts, construction debris. Tell us what needs to go and we'll connect you with an independent local hauler who loads it, hauls it away, and can route usable items to recycling and donation instead of the landfill.

What kind of job is it?
Roughly how much is there?

Best guess is fine. The hauler confirms on site before anything moves.

Is any of it heavy material?

Concrete, dirt, brick, tile, roofing. These are priced by weight rather than volume, so it changes the quote.

How much of a truck?

Pick the closest match. Pricing here is by volume, the same way every hauler quotes it.

Estimates cover labour, loading, hauling and disposal. Heavy materials like concrete, dirt and roofing are priced by weight instead.

Pricing

Priced by volume, confirmed before loading

Junk removal isn't priced by the hour or the item — it's priced by how much of the truck your load fills. The hauler should give you the number before anything moves, and it shouldn't change unless the job does.

Denver specifics

City bulk pickup or a hauler? Depends on your timeline.

Denver residents on city trash service get periodic large-item collection, capped at a small number of items set out on your regular collection day. It's included in what you already pay, so if your timeline is flexible and your pile is small, use it. Check the current schedule and item cap on the city's website, since both change.

Where it stops working is volume and timing. If your pickup window is weeks out, if you're over the item cap, if you're clearing a garage rather than setting out a chair, or if you're closing on a house — the city schedule isn't built for that.

Doing the dump run yourself

A real option, and sometimes the right one. Front Range transfer stations charge a minimum fee before they've weighed anything, and uncovered loads can draw an extra charge. Add fuel, a borrowed truck, and two hours of loading and driving, and a small load often costs about the same either way. The difference is who does the lifting.

Our honest read: one or two items and a free weekend, do it yourself. A garage, a hot tub, or anything upstairs, call someone.

Questions

Before you call

Do I need to be home?

Not always. Curbside or garage pickups arranged ahead of time can often happen while you're at work; agree that with the hauler. Interior pickups usually need someone there to point at what stays.

How fast can someone come?

It depends on the hauler's schedule. Put your deadline in the request and we'll tell you honestly whether it can be met. Estate and construction jobs take longer and are booked ahead.

What happens to the stuff?

Usable furniture and appliances can go to donation. Metal, electronics and mattresses have recycling routes. What's left goes to the transfer station. Ask your hauler what will happen to your load.

Is the quote binding?

Our ranges aren't a quote. The hauler's quote covers the load you describe. If the pile turns out bigger, ask for the new price before loading, not after. You can still say no.

Can I get a single item taken?

Yes. Single items usually fall under a hauler's minimum charge. It's one of the most common requests we get, especially mattresses and couches.

Not sure what size load you've got?
